Alona Zhuavel

Nationality: Russia
Discipline: Kontorsion
Natal year: 1991

Alona Zhuavel appeared from 2001 to 2006 in the circus Flic Flac. In 2005 to 2007 she visited different festivals, from March to April 2007 she was engaged by the GOP in Bad Oyenhausen. From November 2008 to January 2009 she had different appearances in the circus "Cirque Pinder" in France. In February 2009 Alona Zhuavel appeared in the show „ the Jamie olive-Dinner “ in Paris as well as in dinner shows in Frankfurt.

 

André & Elias

Nationality: Norwegian and Swedish
Discipline: jump teeterboard
Natal year: 1985 and 1986

André came into the circus via breakdancing, which he was excercising for five years. He started acrobatic training in 2003 when he was 17 years old. Elias started his circus training in the “circus gymnasium” in Gävle, Sweden when he was 15 years of age.
They met when they both where accepted in the contemporary circus education in Stockholm in 2005. In March of 2006 they started to jump teeterboard together just for fun, but they developed really fast. With many hours, many crashes and a lot of fun they improved a lot and before they even finished the school they where taken to Cirque Du Soleil’s largest touring show “Corteo” to be replacements in a solo teeterboard act. They had to make special arrangements with the school and Cirque Du Soleil in order to be able to go on tour and to finish the school at the same time. The temporary replacement assignment was supposed to last for three months. In the end they stayed for ten months doing three hundred shows for approximate 700 000 people in six major cities of the US and Canada.

Crazy Flight

Nationality: Ukrainian
Discipline: Acrobatic
Natal year: 1975, 1982, 1982 und 1987

The act Crazy Flight was created in 2002 ( Reggie D.Viskov). All participants are professional acrobats from Ukraine. They won the European championship 2001 in Faro (Portugal). Since that time they performed at many events, gala shows as well as: i.g. Da Capo Darmstadt, GOP  Essen, Münster, Bad Oeynhausen, Apollo Düsseldorf, Massy 2005 (France), WOW-Show-Eilat (Israel), „Himmel auf Erden“ 2004 in Zürich, Special Events with Franco Dragone in Vienna, uvm.

 

Duo In Motion

Nationality: Ukrainian
Discipline: Hand on hand acrobatics
Natal year: 1981 and 1990

The Ukrainian Duo "In Motion" presents a technical perfect and expressive kind of partneracobatik. The prize winner of "Soliy-Circo-Artistsprize 2007" will amaze you.
The beginning of the act "Duo In Motion" was in the year 2007. Before that moment they were together in Sport acrobatic school for 3 years. They are in Acrobatic for 13 years. First their start was in Germany Star club variete after they were in the FlicFlac circus, Paris TV5, Palazzo varite,Variete in Montenegro, they performed at Gala shows for Volkswagen and Casino Lisboa in Portugal.

 

DuoTrapeze Mirja and Sanna

Nationality: Finnish
Discipline: Double trapez
Natal year: 1981 and 1984

Mirja Jauhiainen and Sanna Kopra are from Finland. They got their circus degree in Stockholm, Sweden, at the “Cirkuspiloterna, the School of Contemporary Circus Arts”.  After their graduation 2004 they have worked with many companies in different kind of productions, such as Cirkus Cirkör (Sweden), Pomp Duck and Circumstance (Germany) and Dance Theatre Hurjaruuth (Finland).

 

Duo Twix

Nationality: Ukrainian
Discipline: Partnerakrobatic
Natal year: 1989

Acrobatic couple consisting of two young girls who have finished Kiev Circus School in 2008. German festival "Startissimo" is the first festival in their artistic career. Act "Duo Twix" was created in 2008  by director-choreographer Andrey Pyr. The act combines high-class acrobatic tricks and choreography of jazz-modern style.

 

Elizabeth Gaumond

Nationality: Canadian
Discipline: Kontorsion
Natal year: 1981

At 11 years old, Elizabeth took her first circus course with Michel Rousseau and never stopped since then. She trained many years at the circus school “École de Cirque de Québec”, also knowned as “Cirque Pop”. Elizabeth was part of the creation of Cirque Eos and its first show “Imaginaire”, doing the aerial cube act that won a silver medal at the Festival “La Piste aux Espoirs” (1998) in Belgium. Elizabeth became an artist of Cirque du Soleil for  the show Quidam in 2002, touring in United States and Japan for 540 shows. In September 2005, Elizabeth returned at Cirque du Soleil for the creation of the show “ The Beatles Love” in Las Vegas. During the summer 2007, Elizabeth presented her contortion act at the first cabaret “Unplugged” organized by Cirque du Soleil. With her acts: Armiarma, Ling and Biak, Elizabeth is now performing in many countries.

 

Hugo Noel

Nationality: Canadian
Discipline: Big ring
Natal year: 1984

Since he discovered circus in 2001, he has been consumed by his passion for creation and physical accomplishments. He first started by learning the basics at the Quebec Circus School, and at the same time started competing in trampoline. Just in time for him to finish his studies in mechanical engineering, he was hired by Cirque Starlight, in Switzerland, where he made his debut as a professional circus performer. He since then worked for various companies in touring or fixed show in Europe and America. After leaving the "LOVE" show in Las Vegas, he went back to Canada to perform his many skills in corporate events, cabarets and different shows for many companies, including the 7 Fingers and Cirque du Soleil.

 

Jérémie Arsenault

Nationality: Canadian
Discipline: Diabolo
Natal year: 1988

Jérémie Arsenault has been juggling since he was 15 years old. He doing the last of a 4 year training program at the Québec city Circus school. The program includes thecnical and artistic coaching, contemporary and classical ballet dance classes, as well as classes in physical theater. During the past four years, he has had the chance to perform many times for different events, such as a private show organized by Cirque du Soleil, a circus festival called "La Piste aux Espoirs" in Belgium, 250 summer shows in which he performed both juggling and acrobatics in a theme park in the United States, as well as many corporate events.

 

Kati & Philipp

Nationality: German
Discipline: Doppeltuch
Natal year: 1985

Kati and Philipp had learned to know themselves in the pupil's vaudeville theater "Voilà" of the School "Freien Waldorfschule Bad Nauheim" where they learned to know the first experiences with the acrobatics under the management of the coach Sandra Morgantti. They played in different presentations with Voilà for three years. When her school hours came to an end, they resolved to do the acrobatics her occupation. From September 2006 to June 2008 they visited the state school for acrobatics in Berlin.

 

Loic Faure

Nationality: French
Discipline: Ball acrobatics
Natal year: 1983

From 2002 to 2004 he graduated from his education at the circus school in Bordeaux, in 2002 to 2008 he exercised his Solo-Juggling and from 2003 to 2004 he appeared with Hand-on-Hand-Acrobatic. Loic Faure collected experiences at different festivals like "Déclic circus", "larmes d'Eros", "Le Kromlok" etc.

 

Martin Frenette

Nationality: Canadian
Discipline: Double swing rope
Natal year: 1985

Impassioned by performing arts, Martin Frenette was first trained as a dancer before specializing himself in aerial disciplines at Montreal’s National Circus School (Canada). During these past years, he presented many different acts for various companies, such as Circus Monti (Switzerland), Chamäleon Theater (Germany) and Generating Company (England).

Rémi Martin

Nationality: German
Discipline: Chinese mast
Natal year: 1985

Remi Martin is one of the few German artists who performs a show on the chinese pole. However , he by no means simply restricts himself to a dynamic and rythmic performance demanding incridible strength. He narrates a poetic story in perfect acrobatics and expressive body language set to a musical background in which he appears abolishes physical laws with no effort at all. Rémi Martin creates elaborate artistic figures on a vertical pole with a floating ease. At the end of the show, the audience wake from a fantastic dream.
Remi Martin is the very first winner of the Sprungbrett award 2008, donated by memo-media and the internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg.
